From my home to yours.
The pies are baked, the turkey is roasting and the house smells wonderful. My two favorite things about Thanksgiving are my special giblet stuffing and working a large puzzle on the kitchen table with my family, a small tradition to pass the time. My youngest is piping the filling for deviled eggs, the middle son is spooning crabmeat stuffing into mushroom caps while the eldest is nowhere to be found this year. His restaurant is open today. I’ve already sent my husband off to the store with a small list of forgotten items and the dishwasher has begun its first run of the day.

We had Bulgarians for dinner. They found everything delicious, and they brought the dolmas. Contented happy sigh.

We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…
I wonder if they had fish for dinner.
Happy belated Thanksgiving. Was down in Maryland for the feast. Hope yours was good.
My nine hour drive back to New York (traffic nightmares, 42 viewings of Beauty and the Beast by the offspring) kicked my ass, but it was worth it in the end.
