We have Governor ”You don’t like me because I’m a nigger” Paterson bleating nine ways to Sunday over his lack of support. After the last eight weeks of political retrograde on color polity, I’ve about had enough of this shit.
Do you people really see color? Is ethnicity your baseline of identification or cutline for judging another human being? Have we regressed once again to this foul level of dealing with one another on nothing more than the basis of race? Maybe I’m naive, but I find this whole color tone thing incredibly ignorant, bizarrely retrograde and seriously repugnant. I have never judged a man by the color of his skin. I have been an equal opportunity lover, wife, mother, friend and family member to the whole crayon box of humanity. Color doesn’t make the man, integrity does, always has in my book. I proudly claim membership in Bill Whittle’s Tribe.
I am speaking to liberals and black democrats here, you’ve taken our national discussion down to the level of Jim Crow and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. What in the hell are you doing? Turning back the clock forty years to make political hay is worth stirring this ugly shit back to the surface, instigating people’s natural instincts to categorize and separate across color lines? Do you have fucking rocks in your head? Do you really think this is wise?
I’m more than half tempted to take Governor Paterson up on his silly ass comments and start running down the list of failed cities under black governance that are little more than impoverished shantytowns filled with rampant crime. I tended to think these places are lost because of liberal policies and parochial corruption, but maybe it’s simply because black folks are running the show and their predominately black constituents are unreasonable racists incapable of falling in line.
Are black people incapable of good governance Mr. Paterson? Do you feel a racist bias because your failings in office are being called to account or do you think your constituents feel dissatisfied with your governance simply because you’ve got a tinge of dark to your light complexion? I’d like to hear what your cream colored face has to do with how you’ve served the public. I don’t know a single person who compares decent government competence with skin color, but feel free to disabuse me of my practical delusions. If you’ve done such a stellar job for the taxpayers, lay it out. Otherwise, own it and stop playing the poor nigger excuse, no body’s buying that crap from a man with your education and solid resume of respectable accomplishments and I’m damn tired of hearing this excuse of failure based on the color of skin.

Well, not every big city has been run into the ground by black leadership. Minneapolis and San Francisco managed to do it with white mayors.
It’s more a problem with liberal mayors, and city councils. It just happens that every black big-city mayor is a liberal.
I always thought it was based on liberalism, Gordon, but apparently I’m wrong. That side of the political aisle insists the reason we don’t like their governing style is because they’re black.
Daphne, you have more balls than most men I have met. If I were a man, I would worship you. Thank you for a great, straight forward, no nonsense piece of priceless honesty. I am so tired of educated, intelligent blacks using the race card, I could almost regress and become a racist.
As a New Yorker, you took the words out of my mouth.
The best part is he’ll be gone soon enough; we racist will make sure of it. (Though the way things have been going here I’m a little concerned about what’s down the pike. First it was Whore Chaser Spitzer then Race Card Patterson and now what?).
Kick butt and take names, Daphne.
The more Paterson whines, the more Pelosi calls us a mob, the more Reid schemes to subvert the Senate SOP to force garbage into law, the more the MSM try to tell us what’s good for us, the more the luckiest Black people on earth whine about their subjugation, the higher will rise the Tsunami of outrage.
The Town Halls and Tea Parties are just the beginning, folks. Deliberate harsh insults to the independence, street smarts and wallets of America have been tried before; Obama et al might try asking the ghost of King George how that worked out for him.
Paterson’s racial comments fell on deaf ears, even among black political leaders. He is an accidental Governor, he stands no chance of being re-elected, and has virtually no support in the State.
The State Legislature in Albany has been a cesspool for decades, both the Democrats and the Republicans.
Kick ass post!
Mahons, Paterson says calling him an “accidental governor” is racist. Seriously, I just watched the news clip.
Daphne – I think I can say with confidence that he is a laughing stock for the vast majority of New Yorkers no matter what their political convictions may be. We have been mired in a swamp of political misbehavior for so long that his most recent comments are frankly being met by the man in the street as “so what, the guy’s an asshole. I wouldn’t listen to him anyway.”
I’d just like the Paterson’s, the Palin’s, The Sandford’s, the Blogovich’s (sp) , the Ensign’s, the Spitzer’s, the Craig’s, the Edwards’, etc to all be put on Alcatraz where they could be in a reality television show in which we the people vote to keep them on the island.
Hey Gordon, much of the damage to SF was done under the tenure of Duh Mayor, Willie Brown…but regardless of his skin color or that of the rest of the mayoral scum SF has and has had, they all cry ‘racism’, ‘sexism’, ‘homophobe’ BEFORE the drop of a hat.
They are one and the same, as Daphne said by including ‘liberals and black democrats’.
Remember our first black president?
Daphne, you rock my world.
I quote the wonderful Julie Burchill: Sheer bloodymindedness is a fine and rare quality in a woman.
Kerching! Bottle this and sell it as a tonic for all the political poison.
Just outta’ curiosity, Mahons, why did you include the ‘Palins’ in that scurrilous group of scoundrels?
I am unaware of any scandal whilst in office or out in which she could be involved.
Enlighten me, please.
Yea, what CharleyMike said, WTF is that all about mahons?
Jesus H. Christ, the Palin’s get slammed and lumped together with scumbags for what…being hard working, decent folk. Disagree with their politics fine, that’s fair, but attack them for no apparent reason is outright delusional.
With that logic the Obama’s deserve to be on that list, hell their friends and associates are WAY more suspect than anything the Palin’s have been “exposed” for.
You and Patterson should hang out together, just making shit up as you go along.
Yup… ya done went and said what 90% of conservative America is thinkin’ but not sayin’. And Good On Ya for it.
Reckless stupidity seems to be what these folks are good at. The latest chapter is the business of declaring the CIA an enemy of the people or something. That’s brilliant.
Oh, and when people who go looking to buy a used car find out that the prices of those have skyrocketed because of the insane clunkers program, they will think the same of this charming bunch of metrosexual mafiosi.
Politics not race or principle explains the response of black politicians to Paterson’s remarks.
Like most politicians they just kept playing from their script.
What each thought privately is unknown.
Paterson got no mileage out of his race lament because he had very little support from NY black pols BEFORE he made it.
If the same professionals had beem supporting him before he made the remarks then they would have hailed his words as the greatest truths since MLK.
I am not from New York but am presently residing about as far away as I can get. I have seen Governor Patterson on various news shows since he has become Governor and I never even suspected that he was BLACK. On a good day in the sun, I tan up darker than he is. What a surprise to find out that the reason he’s f**king up New York is because he’s black. I always thought it was because he was incompetant.
Incisive and razor-sharp, Mme. Daphne.
Unfortunately, I fear that the Empire State gov’s accusations are just the powdered cocoa on the beignet. There’s plenty more substabce to come, and it’ll be hot and float to the surface.
Indeed Mahons (hello BTW old friend!) what did Palin do to get lumped in there?
Yeah, Palin doesn’t belong with that motley crew of fornicators. I do like the idea of an exile island for most of our political class though.
I still think I would make a great benevolent dictator or omnipotent queen.
Kick ass post. Amen, amen, amen.
One of the many problems with the race card being played so much is that eventually people either become immune to it and if there really is an issue they won’t see it. Another issue is the calling your girlfriend a slut fallacy. Eventually she’ll figure if she’s gonna do the time, she’ll do the crime. Sooner or later people get so tired of being incorrectly called racists that they start to see things as racists. Then the problems start all over again.
Voted off what island? This IS the island. One big unreality show clusterfuck of everybody voting everybody elses business.
These are the right politicians for the job. The few good ones left are all wrong for it. If every politician were a Socrates, this government would still be out of control. Eighty years barreling downhill creates a lot of momentum.
“We have Governor ”You don’t like me because I’m a nigger” Paterson bleating nine ways to Sunday over his lack of support. After the last eight weeks of political retrograde on color polity, I’ve about had enough of this shit.”
Oh… how I love the sight of political correctness being given a corrective kick up the ass!
“Color doesn’t make the man, integrity does, always has in my book. I proudly claim membership in Bill Whittle’s Tribe.”
Exactly.
Charles in Small Town Texas – Greetings my old buddy, hope all is well.
CharleyMike and Tiny Tim – I include Palin in my list of political castaways based upon her self-pity and absurd complaints about how she portrayed – a hallmark of the crass political class she belonged to (before she quit baby quit).
Self-pity, you say? Sarah Palin? Based on what, exactly?
Yup. She quit. She gave her reasons, and they were good ones. Enumerating reasons that include activities detrimental to her and her family is not self-pity. Her decision was based on a pragmatic assessment of the situation. She’d become too big a target from the vitriol spewed at her from the left and uppity snoots in her own party and that was doing two things – bankrupting her family, and miring the Alaska government in too much superfluous activity and cost. So she stepped down.
She knew how it would be spun, and she didnt’ care. She did what was best for her family, her state … and just maybe her country as well. She’s one woman in politics that does have her priorities straight.
Which is why so many of us like her.
Nicely said, Phil.
Mahons, there is no way in hell you can justify lumping her in with those jerks. I know why you dislike her, it’s perfectly okay to dislike her, I even respect your dislike of her. But she’s not a cheat and she’s not a crook and she most certainly isn’t a sleazy, sleep around whore.
Besides, you left Vitter off the list.
First, Mahons, I keyed in a log-winded response to your defense of your earlier comment. Then, I thought, maybe if I asked politely, you would do a bit more research on Sarah Palin and possibly come to a different conclcusion.
So, I’m asking you to check her out a bit more. Don’t just go to your regular sources, read folks who think differently.
I’m not even gonna’ recomment any new sources to you other than go read her facebook stuff. How she could be so nice to the Kennedy surviving family members is beyond me. So far as I’m concerned, he was a murdered or at least guilty of negligent homicide, he was a perfect candidate for the group you listed previously, and besides, he was a traitor to his country in his dealings with the KGB.
I’d gladly pay the fine to piss on his grave but I’m in Texas, and Arlington is a long ways away.
Dang, that should have been “murderer”
Daphne – She makes my list, not because of any criminal/sleaze factor – neither of which I believe to be true in her case, but because her calculated paranoia rivals Patterson’s.
Phil – you mean “so many of us” here.
CharleyMike – Go with the longwinded response in the future, you’ll enjoy the release. As for Citizen Palin, I read the words of people who admire her on a daily basis. I remain, like most of the nation, underwhelmed.
As for Ted Kennedy, he would indeed make an excellent addition to the Island. I feel he should have been charged with reckless endangerment or criminally negligent homicide for Mary Joe. Her father said, correctly in my opinion, that the only good to come of the whole thing was it prevented Ted from becoming President.
CharleyMike – I will however credit you for being the first male Texan to admit with modesty that his dick would not reach Arlington.
A club of male Texans to which I’m not a “member”.
I’m not touching that with a ten foot pole, Charles.
My friend in Boston said they trolled his body all around town today to large crowds.
Did they have to embalm this guy?
He was a zombie, James, of course they didn’t embalm him.
Mahons, reading her admirers is about as sensible as reading her detractors. Try reading her.
And, in re: reaching Arlington ~ Granny’s happy and that’s what counts.
James, they trolled him around like they used to do killers in the old West, so everyone could see that the assholes were dead for real.
OK, I don’t know about the rest of you folks, but I’m pretty much done with this.
Give us a new essay, Daphne, please. Or I’ll have to go over to Gerard’s for his latest.
Mahons, I’m sure when Bush dies the left will inundate the internet with devilchimp photos before the body’s even cold.
Nobody worth reading is nice on the internet.
CM, go read Gerard anyway, he’s brilliant. Or Sippican, that man writes his ass off.
I’m working on a few things.
Ma’am, I love your brain.
And your microtomic wit.
I thought I heard you working.
Do you stop to think how very different you might be if people were generally attentive, thoughtful, respectful, and unassuming of others? There would be no Jaded in the Haven.
Affliction is a treasure, and scarce any man has enough of it–John Donne
I can’t quite bring myself to embace that, even as it is true. But being the empath and the artist, you are welcome to it.
My response to these shit heads is this:
If it be racism….make the most of it.
Once you defang their only weapon, they are left with nothing but a whole lotta hot air and noise, since they already signify nothing.
