Men can be such pussies. While trying to appear reasonable and dispassionate when discussing serious issues, like the death penalty for child killers, they mostly end up resembling hairless eunuchs, fucking useless talkers, when we what we really need is for them to man up a righteous head of apocalyptic rage and stomp the holy living shit out of the monsters who fuck, beat and kill our children. Society needs our good men to get serious about never tolerating or excusing adults who, for whatever lame reason or sick pathology, hurt our kids. We don’t need you discussing nature versus horrendous nurture, cause and effect, or life sentences over the death penalty. We need you to get enraged and intolerant. We need you to grow a large, hairy set and take your relative, friend, neighbor out to the wood shed and beat him bloody for getting handy with his kids or wife. We need you to show up in court en masse when a child rapist is on trial, or in front of that pedophile teacher or priest’s house, waving torches and shouting your outrage in front of the media. We need you to get loudly insistent with our legislators, prosecutors and judges, demanding the harshest possible sentencing for crimes against our most vulnerable members. We need you to say enough and mean it, by God.
Our children need you to collectively stand up and actively put a stop to the men perpetrating the daily headlines of depravity and abuse taking place in our society. This week it was a little nine year old Texas girl’s letter to Santa, all she asked for was that Santa stop her relative from sexually abusing her, apparently it had been going on since she was four. I don’t believe nobody knew. I want this story to make you men insanely angry. I want you to stop talking about it in the abstract and go fix it, dammit. If you can’t muster up the energy, then step aside and let the women decide how to deal with the two legged vermin who intentionally damage children.
Women cut straight to the bone on this issue. Screw dialectic debate, we know what needs to be done with people who rape, abuse and murder our children. A post on the topic of the death penalty versus life imprisonment was inspired by the recent Adam Walsh headlines. The comments from the women on the thread are cold blooded and extremely satisfying.
Miss Alison;
I would happily draw the knife across the man’s throat and stand by and watch the last drop of blood leave his body. After he had been hung until almost dead with his scored burned and mutilated genitals stuffed into his mouth as you say assuming, as I do, that in most male violent crimes it was sexually motivated and that the boy’s suffering was as humiliating and degrading as it was violent.
I actually don’t care if the case is over a child or an adult.
Where such violence is involved and the murder was intended to be cruel, violent and callous as some form of pleasure as it is for serial killers/paedos, a long spell in prison contemplating your impending violent and painful death with at least a few attempts to exonerate yourself in court maybe to be absolutely certain of guilt, is the answer.
And Maggie;
“If someone murdered one of my chldren, if the state didn’t kill them, then I would. Even if it meant I would spend years in prison. For the heinous crime of killing a young person death is the only answer, and by hanging or just dangling for sometime before the last breath leaves their body. Chicken wire I believe is the answer, and if was a sex crime they should die with their balls stuffed in their mouths. Is this a bit strong oh dear I do so wish not to upset people of liberal culture.”
A lot of you may sneer at America’s Most Wanted, but John Walsh did something. His little boy was kidnapped, raped, tortured, killed and mutilated. Mr Walsh stood up with a fearsome primal rage and he has tried every day since to make a difference in our society. We need the rest of you good men to do the same and we need you to do it today.
*Caveats (because some people need them): I support the death penalty for heinous crimes. I want there to be well documented, definitive evidence (eye witness victim testimony doesn’t cut it) before we execute. I support the death penalty for repeat offenders of rape, acts of pedophilia and severe abuse of children.
I know women abuse too, they deserve more derision than the men and equally harsh punishment, in my opinion.
I’ve always been of the opinion that child murderers… or any sort of murderer, actually… should be handed over to the relatives of the victim to do with as they see fit, with no restraints or limitations. That, and televised executions (preferably hanging, although the guillotine is an option), held in the public square.
That works for me, Buck.
One day at the range in the Army a fellow soldier came up with what I think to be a fantastic plan. Murderers, rapists, etc should be live targets on the range. They can run around and do whatever they like to not get shot, but we get to come after them. I long for the day.
That works too, Andy.
But, how do you nip this shit in the bud? I think there needs to be a loud, collective (I hate that word) male voice that says NO MORE – we won’t tolerate it. I want all of you good guys, which is most of you, to make it clear to the scumbags that this won’t be happening anymore. I want you to stop talking about what to do with them after they’ve hurt someone – I want you to get outrageously loud and create an environment where these guys are afraid to even exist.
First, I am not hairless. I won’t provide proof, you’ll have to accept it on faith.
Second, I take no back seat to anyone in how much I detest those guilty of such crimes. Anyone.
Third, people should be able to reasonably disagree on what penalty should be imposed by law for heinous crimes without having the growth of their “set” urged or unkindly suggested. I am all for growth, especially in said area, but I prefer it to take its natural course.
Mahons, I know exactly how you feel about those bastards – my derision was not aimed at your post or your comments. What set me off was a few of the menfolk in the thread pussy footing around the issue, the exact issue of Adam Walsh’s horrendous death, that pissed me off three ways to Sunday.
I believe you have a humongous, very hairy set accompanied by a brilliant mind, compassionate heart and honest outrage for brutality committed on children. I have no doubt that you take the issue of child abuse seriously.
Discussing the pros and cons of the death penalty is fine. So is discussing the lack of actual public outrage and activism by men to stomp these types of, predominately male committed, crimes out of our society.
Oh. Phew. I thought I had offended my Blogging muse and buddy.
Yeah, I didn’t get that part either, when some said the details of a murder should be excluded from a jury.
I had a hard time with Adam’s little baseball picture. It kinda burned into me.
I think I’ll be posting a nice story soon to make up for bringing folks down.
Mahons, I love you to pieces. I’m sorry for not being clear in that I had no issue with your post or opinions.
I really enjoyed this post Daphne and I’m right behind you.
If I ever express my overwhelming disappointment in men which I know comes across generally, it’s on this single issue and this alone. I couldnt give a rat’s ass about so called feminist issues of glass celings or being called ‘darling’. Screw that bullshit. Takes seconds to deal with it and I don’t need laws to assist me.
It’s that a crime, usually sexual, commited by their own gender meets such little full on righteous anger.
Women will slam other women for anything – to each other and in writing on them as a group. Including on this very issue. Oh and you can bet your ass that men will join in happily on that persecution. But men rarely discuss this issue in terms other than ‘yes yes awful, heh’ ‘it happens’, ‘you women need to make allowances and take care’, ‘but some women are liars’ ‘put them on a child abuse list and feel sorry for their obsessions’, ‘mustn’t express any righteous anger’ ’sympathise with their illness and worry first and foremost about the potentially innocent, then look at rehab’. wtfff.
I have only ever read two articles in my entire life on this subject by men aimed at men. One by Will Self in which he said ‘Men should be ashamed of rape”. He presented some excellent ideas about what needs to be done to address an issue that is increasingly treated as a joke, which included putting some (sensible and fair) onus on women in the matter but which first and foremost expressed outrage at his gender over it- and the need for them to take overall responsibility of it. And one by a blogger who dealt with the issue at the nitty gritty level as a trainee lawyer. His post should be widely read as an example of actual reality.
So then I wander over to a post and read excuses over such a heinous heinous crime of this nature committed against a child. I read in your post that it was indeed sexually motivated as I had guessed. I don’t feel bad finding justified righteous anger at men for their complete lack of the same and I never will. Roll out another post about “wimmin”, feminization of whatever crap, abortion and female responsibility, big bad feminists, but when have you ever read a man write about sexually motivated crime and slam his gender for an issue that is almost wholly their own and impacts lives, even baby lives, so fucking devastatingly?
My own experiences of injustice might colour my views but I am not alone and so what if it does. The lack of seriousness applied to the issue more widely is now extending to kids who find themselves victims of the same damn system as we shine more light on this grotesque abuse.
To the issue. The death penalty. For cases like this and violent murder generally.
I remain unequivocal and unapologetic about it. It applies in these cases, of course it does. Plus any single act of violent rape committed against woman, child or man. For example. The teenagers who kidnapped a 15 year old child, gang raped her, beat and tortured her and then covered her genitals in acid to anihilate the evidence of DNA. They have been caught. They should die. The baby girl involved will never have kids or enjoy a personal life fully. She barely survived what they treated as a joke and published as porn on the web.
And to your summary of how we go about determining it, I agree completely. I do not treat the issue lightly since I know the system can be absurd. The system should be improved more generally and we should seek to improve it and not sit on our heels suggesting it is ‘the best of an icky bunch’ . But I don’t think that in the meanwhile we should rule out this penalty where we have proof of the crime and assurance of guilt. And these days, even with this crummy system, we can and do.
sorry for lengthy comment
An eye for an eye sometimes works. The phenom of the predator is not new. It has been around for a long time, history long. It used to be that this could be dealt with within the societal group by the group but no longer. The more control that we give up to the group the less discretion we have to deal with these kinds of issues.
And Texas, in those famous words of Ron White, “will kill you back.”
The Castle Doctrine should be national in scope.
But, how do you nip this shit in the bud?
It is the silence of the mothers that allows it. Keeping up the front. “What will the neighbors say?”
Killing the perps is good. What about the mothers? Because if she rids herself of the perp she will find another. Which is why a strong man of good character will stay with a weak woman. Lest she finds a perp and repeats her childhood with their children.
The rapes have to stop. Let it be with my generation.
It is my estimation that the mothers who allow their children to be raped were themselves raped as children.
The sins of the fathers………
I’m all for the death penalty for murder unless in self defence, or for those planning acts of mass murder like terrorists whether they were successful or not, or for traitors like most of the current UK Government.
I think what you’re talking about is the problem of liberalism and an overly compassionate (to the perp) justice system. This is not specific to men, and personally I can’t think of any men who don’t think that paedophiles are the lowest of the low.
